This is Baja, Unspoiled

La Isla Lodge is located some 600 miles south of the US border and about 150 miles north of Cabo San Lucas in the tiny island community of Puerto Magdalena. There are only approximately 60 full time residents on the island and the only access is by boat ensuring a peaceful setting far from the crowds of large tourist destinations.

Our remote location puts us closer to the fishing grounds and gives you the ability to leave the “real world” behind and enjoy all that nature has to offer. We can’t think of a better way to start the day’s adventure than by enjoying our morning coffee under the palapa while watching birds, turtles, fish and dolphins working in the bay.

Your Stay

La Isla Lodge currently features a casita with three double-rooms and two bungalow suites (more coming in 2020) each with their own full bathroom. There is also a 4 bedroom, 4 bath second guest house available just down the beach for larger groups.

Our rooms are all clean and spacious with comfortable beds and room to store your gear. We have 24-hour electricity and hot running water in all bathrooms.

Dine and Relax

Plan on putting a few extra pounds on during your stay! We pride ourselves on making delicious authentic Mexican dishes for each meal. You can expect plenty of great, locally caught seafood including shrimp, scallops, octopus, clams, crab and lobster… and of course your fresh catch! These will be served any number of ways, with plenty of fresh ceviche and appetizers to hold you over for the main course. We also offer non-seafood options for those that prefer turf over surf. If you have any special food needs or allergies, please let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Our large Palapa in the middle of the property is the main gathering spot with cold drinks, dining tables and amazing views of the bay. You’ll eat all your meals here, enjoy a cold cocktail after a day of fishing and swap fish stories with your fellow anglers.
